Who are we and what do we do?

The Malley Practice is a preventative wellbeing space designed to support people before stress, overwhelm, and emotional load reach crisis point.

Through reflective, structured and tailored wellbeing support, The Malley Practice helps individuals and groups better understand themselves, strengthen their boundaries, and create healthier, more sustainable ways of living, working and thriving.

Areas we can provide support include

  • Burnout prevention

  • Relationship support

  • Communication and boundaries

  • Stress management and deep dives

  • Parenting/caring pressure

  • Self neglect

  • Routines and habits

  • Life transitions

  • Self-awareness

I believe progress should feel clear and measurable. For those who want it my work can include structured goals, reflective exercises and practical tools to help you track growth and better understand what support works for you over time.

If you are unsure if this is the right fit, you’re welcome to get in touch.

The Founder - Katie Malley

I founded The Malley Practice after years of working alongside professionals and witnessing a growing pattern of stress, overwhelm, and disconnection in everyday life.

My personal life has also shaped my understanding of sustained stress, emotional load, and the importance of boundaries. Navigating full time work, family life, and parenting children with additional needs has given me first-hand insight into how easily people can lose themselves while trying to hold everything together for everyone else.

Over time, I have seen how many people — particularly in the post-Covid world — were struggling to understand themselves, communicate their boundaries, and manage the constant pressure of modern life. In a world where everything is available at the click of a button, many people have never been given the space or tools to truly understand their own needs, responses, and limits before reaching the point of burnout, stress overload, or relationship breakdown.

This became a genuine passion of mine while building wellbeing forums and focus groups within businesses, helping bring wellbeing and mental health into the forefront of workplace priorities and conversations.

My approach is warm, grounded, and focused on prevention rather than crisis. I offer structured wellbeing support designed to help people slow down, understand their patterns and boundaries more clearly, and make practical, sustainable changes that improve both personal wellbeing and relationships.

When Additional Support May Be Helpful

The Malley Practice focuses on preventative wellbeing support and reflective guidance rather than counselling or psychotherapy.

For some people, wellbeing-focused support is enough to create meaningful change. For others, deeper therapeutic support may feel more appropriate or beneficial.

If, during our work together, we feel that counselling, therapy, or more specialist support would better meet your needs, I will always approach this openly, sensitively, and without judgement.

Where appropriate, I can support you in:

• understanding the different types of support available

• identifying what kind of therapy or professional may suit you best

• signposting to relevant services or directories

• helping you feel more confident taking the next step

This process is collaborative and supportive, with your wellbeing always at the centre of the decision. Seeking additional support is never viewed as a failure — often it is a positive and empowering step towards deeper understanding and longer-term wellbeing.
